Honda Festival Day
Honda in Japan hosts a festival day every few years and they open up part of their campus to the public. Its not only employees that are invited. Its anyone from the surrounding community. So they hosted it at the infield of the test track. It is a giant area that can hold a lot of people. Which is good because there were a lot of people.
We arrived around 9:30am and it was just a normal crowd. The kids only had to wait about 5 minutes in any line for bounce houses.
Then of course we had to check out all the cool cars. The kids wanted to sit in an S660 painted with anime characters on the side.
And we got to check out the police and firefighter area. Caroline was brave enough to sit on the police motorcycle, but Nathan didn’t want to try. He liked the police car though. But it was a Subaru.
They were giving rides in NSXs, Type Rs, and even Odysseys around the test track, but we didn’t know how to get access to do that. So we just watched. The track is banked super steep as you can probably see in the video below.
Nathan waited in line to ride the ATV! Of course he was already a pro from riding his ATV back in America.
Of course we had to get some rainbow shaved ice and rainbow ice cream cones.
Then before we left we caught a balloon animal show. The guy made a pretty awesome dragon.
Then we left around 1pm and it was getting packed. Bounce house lines were over 30 minute wait for a 5 minute play time. So it was a good time to leave.
