Aladdin, Starring Caroline
Caroline had her school play today. It was Disney’s Aladdin. She played a background dancer. And she was the cutest. The funny thing is that we knew she was doing a play, but she would not tell us anything about it for weeks. We kept asking her if she sang songs or did dance moves, but she wouldn’t tell us. And the teachers took this serious. They practiced every day and the teachers actually made all the costumes, which were really high quality.
Here is Caroline getting ready for the play. She had to wear white tights and a white blouse with a black skirt. They used costumes for Aladdin, but wore the blouse and skirt for some Japanese song they sang. Caroline didn’t know any of the words so she just stood up there. She started to get a cold yesterday so we gave her some Children’s Tylenol this morning and it helped her get through.
We were surprised to see her ready to go as soon as the curtain opened. And she knew all the moves. Nathan was captivated by the whole show too.
Unfortunately her head dress fell off halfway through that opening dance, but she knew the show must go on! And she kept with the dance moves. We were proud of her.
Then her bow was great too.

You aren’t kidding, those dresses look amazing! I can’t believe the teachers made those! So cool!

I love the subtle wave at 1:30 in the first video. She really powered through the head piece falling off! Kudos to the teachers for the costumes.
