It’s Beginning to Look a lot like…
CHRISTMAS!!!!
It’s Christmas in the Brewer house in Japan! The kids and I put up our Christmas lights tonight! They had fun helping me and were excited to see the result of their efforts. It ain’t no Griswolds but, since we’re in Japan, we probably look like the Griswold house. If they didn’t yet know we were American, they do now!
We also put up our Christmas Tree a couple weeks ago. Due to a couple of us being sick we didn’t get a chance to post those pictures yet. Here they are!
It’s a fake, perfectly trimmed tree. Not our usual, but the Japanese don’t have Christmas Tree farms like we do in America. This will do during our stay, though. The kids like it, so we’ll keep it. They found some styrofoam around the house and broke little pieces off to put on the tree to make it look like there’s snow on the tree. They were so proud of their idea I didn’t have the heart to tell them to clean it up. It doesn’t look half bad either. They’ve been missing the snow that most of you are getting in Ohio. They are itching to make a snowman. If we get snow here, it won’t come until probably January or February. It’s still quite warm here. Nevertheless, it finally feels like Christmas in our little Japanese home!
