Train Museum
Partially for Nathan’s birthday we decided to take the kids to the Train Museum in Omiya, which is only a 25 minute train ride for us. We got up, took the bus to the station, then rode the Shinkansen to the train museum! Nathan was psyched about all the trains and wanted to run in and out of every train. The kids got to understand how the electricity powered the trains, and also how the brakes worked with hands-on activities. Since we are getting better and better with public transportation it doesn’t even seem like we need to write home about it anymore. Previously, half of the adventure was braving the bus and trains, but now we just get to our destination without much effort. Train museum, fun, back home, done, successful day.
